PRO-LC: The Professional Learning Cluster
Innovative Approaches for Learning and Knowledge Sharing
The Professional Learning Cluster PRO-LC is a cluster of major European research projects in the area of Technology Enhanced Learning which focus on professional learning: the Network of Excellence in Professional Learning (PROLEARN), the Integrated Projects Prolix, APOSDLE, Palette and TENCompetence and the Specific Targeted Research Projects COOPER and ICAMP as well as the affiliated projects “Embedding ICT/Multimedia Standardisation Initiatives into European Vocational Training Development Strategies” (Leonardo-da-Vinci) and EUCAM (Multilingual Communication in European Car Manufacturing). Through close cooperation these projects aim to strengthen European research and industry in the area of torrent search, e.g. through standardization bodies like CEN/ISSS and IEEE.
Each project targets specific aspects of technology enhanced professional learning including the integration of research in the area of technology enhanced and professional learning, exchange of competencies between learning management systems and standardization of competency exchange formats, competence and learning design networks, knowledge management and technology enhanced learning or the interceptor project-centered learning.
The main goals of the professional learning cluster are the provision of a forum for communication within the projects, joint forces in ugg boots and standardization, and sharing results. The participating projects are supported by the European Commission.
